Some students choose to Tweet about what they learned about rocks.

Famous American Inventors

This week in the Technology Lab we are learning about famous American inventors.  First Mrs. Bodovsky’s kindergarteners watched a BrainPopJr.com video about George Washington Carver.  After discussing his accomplishments and why we should remember him, students made videos using the PhotoSpeak app to share what they learned.  Their videos were compiled via iMovie on a Macbook.  Enjoy their work!

President’s Day

Mrs. Bodovsky’s class watched this video from our February Symbaloo webmix to learn about why we celebrate President’s Day. Next, they used the Draw and Tell app to draw any symbol that reminded them of President’s Day and record their response to the question, “Why do we celebrate President’s Day?”  Their videos were compiled using iMovie on a Macbook.  Enjoy their work!

Tacky the Penguin

Mrs. Bodovsky’s Kindergarteners listened to the book Tacky the Penguin by Helen Lester online by visiting this Symbaloo webmix. Next they played an interactive game called Kahoot that allows teachers to create online, interactive games about whatever topic they would like.

Skyping with Santa

White Oak Primary students had fun this morning Skyping with Santa!  Santa was very kind to take time out of his busy schedule to answer all our questions.  Thank you Santa Claus!  Merry Christmas!
