Mrs. Edwards’ class made awesome snowmen!

Merry Christmas from Mrs. Edwards’ class!

Mrs. Edwards’ class created pumpkins on the website ABCya.com. Once they made their pumpkin, students were asked to write a sentence about the pumpkins using adjectives we discussed!

Mrs. Edwards’ kindergarteners used the Drawing Pad app to draw a picture and write a word that answered the question, “If you were a leprechuan, where would you hide your gold?” Their work is published via Flickr. Enjoy their work!

Mrs. Edwards’ kindergarteners learned about President’s Day by watching this video. Next we wrote together about why we celebrate President’s Day. After practicing reading it several times, we recorded it using the Puppet Pals app. Enjoy their work!

Mrs. Edward’s Kindergarteners watched a video story of Clifford’s First Snow Day. Next they used Paint Go by abcya.com to draw a picture of what they would do with Clifford on a snow day. They also labeled their picture by sounding out a word. Their work was compiled via a Photos slideshow on a Macbook. Enjoy their work!

Mrs. Edwards’ students recently participated in the worldwide Hour of Code event to celebrate Computer Science Education week. (Click the embeded links to learn more about these events.) When students work on coding, they are learning to collaborate with others, developing critical thinking and problem solving skills, learning how computers and programming works and having fun! Mrs. Edward’s class watched this video about Thanksgiving from BrainPopJr. Next, they used the Drawing Pad app to draw and label something they think of when they think about Thanksgiving. Enjoy their work!
