1st grade GT students learned about wind energy. We watched this video:
Next, students made their own pinwheels and experimented with their own “wind energy.” They experimented with how to make their pinwheels go fast & slow and whether or not pinwheels can spin in both directions.
Mrs. Wingo’s Kindergarteners listened to the book Tacky the Penguin by Helen Lester online by visiting this Symbaloo webmix. Next they played an interactive game called Kahoot that allows teachers to create online, interactive games about whatever topic they would like.

Ms. James’ class listened to the book Tacky the Penguin by Helen Lester online by visiting this Symbaloo webmix. Then they worked with a partner using the iPad app Drawing Pad to draw a picture of Tacky and write adjectives describing him. Their work was assembled using kizoa.com. Enjoy their work!
